Quality & Safety.
Key components of our success.
KLM Contracting always has the next job in mind when performing on any project. This mantra means that every deliverable has to be completed in such a way that it will lead to future work and repeat customers. In order to guarantee quality control, an owner, or key staff, is always present at every job. Every night the crew has a meeting to go over how the day went and to plan for the next day. Any necessary changes that are required to maintain quality control are addressed during these meetings. If necessary, corrective measures are taken real time during each shift.
KLM Contracting is up to date and current on all required safety protocols. Further, KLM contracting has two documented meetings each year to go over safe practices and identify areas of improvement, if any. Each of the employees has life flight insurance, greatly increasing their chance for survival in the event of a life-threatening accident. All employees are aware of “watch out” situations and know when to shut down operations for safety. Some such conditions include: extreme fire danger (measured by relative humidity, wind, and ambient temperature), lightning storms, high wind events, and others. In addition to crew member safety, general public safety is a top concern. Traffic control signs including: log ops, log trucks, road work and trucks entering highway, will be used wherever pertinent. KLM Contracting drivers are instructed to drive defensively and slowly on woods roads.
Each vehicle and piece of equipment is equipped with 2-way radio communication with dedicated channels. This ensures proper communication on the haul route, as well as on the job. We check on our staff who provide trucking services to ensure everyone has arrived safely.
